All I can say is I wish we would have found it sooner! Staff is so nice. Place was packed on Thursday at lunch at 11:15!!!

Food is great. Good home style.
    Prices are good as well.
    Staff very helpful and friendly.

  • *****

I've been more times than I can count by now, and have NEVER been disappointed by their selection or their quality of food. Not only is everything fresh, but it's all mouthwateringly delicious. The best part is that it isnt that expensive! $10.95 for all you can eat, and they also have even cheaper options for people with a smaller stomach. If you're in search for somewhere to eat, Granny's got you covered, smothered, chopped, fried, and stuffed.

Excellent down home cooking. Great value.Clean bathrooms. Awesome staff. And they support our military and God.

  • *****

Best place always very clean and friendly the food is great I haven’t had anything that wasn’t better than home cooking. The best fried chicken to.

  • *****

Granny's has the best buffet intown! If you love fried food, has plenty of options and excellent choice of different veggies! Fresh salad bar to start of with and sweet and delicious dessert bar to finish an awesome meal! That's if you can make it through all the food before the dessert!

  • *****

This place is like southern comfort Food/soul food Heaven! You're looking for vegetables boiled in meat, chicken and steak that's been fried or grilled topping it with mounds of gravy then this is your spot!

Great food and great service. Friendly atmosphere. Thank you Rain,Abby,Deb,Kylie and Maribeth. And Vincent. You all are the best. Thank you Mr. Cantrell for a great restaurant

  • *****

Not bad for an all you can eat. Mostly had the baked chicken and beef stew for lunch. Both meat was tender which I liked. This place is kinda like Hometown Buffet but with better quality food.

  • *****

Great southern cooking. The baked and fried chicken are both delicious. Staff was very kind. The mashed potatoes are also good. Nothing negative to say about this place. They seemed to get a lot of business for lunch.

  • *****

Buffet with delicious southern cooking and homemade desserts! Everyone that I have brought there over the years loves it.

  • *****

Everything is great. Especially the food. I highly recommend coming here. It is amazing. The bread putting is sooo good!

  • *****

This place is our favorite buffet we’ve ever been to. There was a delicious assortment of greens and beans, mashed potatoes, vegetables, country fried steak and fried chicken to die for. Bread pudding was ON POINT and their other home made desserts were absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be coming back on our next vacation.

  • *****

Hey Y'all, Here is some mighty fine fresh-cooked home style food. Nice variety every day. Lots of good veggies. Several Meats, salad bar and killer desserts. Hard to beat. Oh, great prices and value. Thanks Granny, you sure can cook.

  • *****

Really great restaurant. Worth the drive over the bridge. Will visit again on my next trip.

  • *****

    Keeping it short and sweet
There is nothing wrong with the place the people are nice, the food is so good, and its a must see if you are in the area.

  • *****

Wish they would have had biscuits too, but it was delicious. This was my first visit. It will not be my last. I love down home cooking.

  • *****

The Crosbys run a top-notch operation. Excellent selection of tasty foods at a very reasonable price. This is my parents go to place for eating out in Panama City.

  • *****

Granny Cantrell's offer southern cuisine at an affordable and relaxed dress down casual ambient.
Food is served via buffet style spread, where the consumer lines up, takes a plate and serves themselves as many times as they wish.
Quality of food is fair and considered comfort food such as country fried chicken, steak, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. etc.
Ambient is busy and very country/riviera.
Servers ensure ticket price and beverage.

  • *****

This place was truly amazing! Great price for our family of 5 and everyone loved everyrhing and left full. This doesn't normally happen in our family as we always have one child who will not like anything. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. And next time we are back in the area we will definitely be back.

  • *****

The food was terrible today. The rice wasn't cooked and was so hard it hurt my teeth on the first bite. The Mac and cheese is always great. It was dry and also hard went back for mashed potatoes and they were cold and had lots of peelings in them. It's always a great place to eat but not this time. It was at 4PM.

  • *****

Amazing buffet! Everything on the buffet was wonderful! Lima beans, fried chicken, turnip greens, sweet tea and all the other foods we tried we're amazing! And the service was great!

  • *****

1st time eating here! Well worth the money. It is cheap. All you can eat. And the bread pudding is wonderful!

  • *****

Great home cooking. The best pot roast ever. Large selection of food. Friendly workers. Even 2 beautiful choc./vanilla layer cakes, homemade choc. chip cookies, pecan pie and ice cream.

  • *****

I was not expecting it to be as good as it was!!. You can tell is a local statement. I am so happy they are open again. The changes are awesome and the price is super affordable for an excellent quality food. I had a lot of fun eating here. If you are not a buffet fan you can choose a different pricing option. Food wise it is hard to chose what to eat because everything looks sooo good . Loved this place...no tourists here really so the atmosphere is warm and feels like a small town restaurant. Seriously you will have me back often!

  • *****

The blue and red plate specials are a great idea. I'm not always hungry enough to completely f?¢€ up a buffet, but I still want good food. A single trip to the buffet for a reasonable price beats $18 at Ryan's, hands down.
Every 'all you can eat' place should do this.

  • *****

It was amazing! ! Nothing fancy as far as the atmosphere. ...but the food was so good.. we were there on Turkey Thursday. .that turkey was fall apart tender and delicious. ..we would totally go back!!!
    Had a great server.

  • *****

Definitely some of the best country cooking in the area! The buffet is priced decently and the food is always been hot and fresh when we've come. A salad bar is decent and the desserts are absolutely amazing. The employees have all been exceptionally friendly and the service is generally amazing. It's a definite must if you're in the Panama City area.

  • *****

Fantastic food, great service and all at a fair price. The bread pudding is worth the trip all on its own. If you like southern country food, this is your kind of place.

  • *****

Just left Grannys, nothing short of wonderful! I am very impressed. I’ve heard the commercials and I decided to stop in, and I am very glad I did!

After the hurricane it’s good to see a mom and pop store come back! Very encouraging. I’ll be back

  • *****

THE BEST FOOD IN PANAMA CITY! if you have not been here you have been missing out! It is affordable and good for the whole family! The food is diverse and has something for everyone, whether you want some good fried chicken or just yummy veggies! All the deserts are homemade and it’s definitely the truth! It’s mouth watering! My waitress was so kind, I will be back and will bring my whole family! - thank you for the wonderful service

  • *****

I've been to Granny's many times and have never had a bad experience. I've never tasted anything bland. This is the only place that serves rutabagas, that I know of. The food is great and the service is always great. I'd go there every day, but I would be morbidly obese.

  • *****

Five stars for what it is, an unassuming, plain-and-simple cafeteria. Tasty, cost-effective, classical Southern cooking on blue (a meat and two vegetable dishes), red (as much as you can carry in one trip) or white (all you can eat) plates. My weaknesses are pulled pork BBQ, collards and mashed sweet potato but I've strayed to the fried fish on occasion. No alcohol, but drinks are delivered by downhome folks in red plaid dresses that match the tablecloths. Makes you feel at home.

  • *****

Faith was our waitress, she was very sweet and efficient! Food is priced right.
90% was really good. Cornbread was dry - tough and Mashed Potatoes were off. That's unusual Granny's is a great place to eat with friendly staff.

  • *****

We moved here one year ago and our neighbors suggested we try it at dinner time. So glad we did, often once a week! The employees are all friendly and the best.
The damage from Hurricane Michael was devastating to all the businesses in Panama City. We sincerely hope that Doug and the family will reopen soon.
We will be there to support them!

  • *****

Heard commercial on Wild Willie. (We love this station and had to download the app) Granny Cantrell's best home cooked meal we have had in a very long time. Well worth taking time out of your busy vacation to try. Staff are friendly and super sweet. PS my grandchildren's very place with the train. My 2 yr old grandson says "bite train bite"

  • *****

Cheaper than Golden Corral at dinner time, but more for lunch. Country style veggies and excellent fried chicken, and I mean the best tasting fried chicken anywhere in my opinion. Love the way they season their collards and turnip greens with meat. Excellent pecan pie and other tasty desserts, also soft serve ice cream. Just writing this review is making want to go there now, lol.

  • *****

Wonderful home-style restaurant. Don't expect a chain store style selection, everything is made by hand and the menu changes throughout the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great cozy atmosphere. Wait staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy working here. Perfect for family events like birthdays or celebrations. Trades selection for genuine taste and atmosphere compared to Golden Corral.

  • *****

We were coming in for our yearly trip to Panama City and since this is our second year, we asked for a suggestion at a local store we shopped at. She suggested Granny Cantrell's so we went and were very satisfied by the freshness of the food, warm atmosphere, and exceptional guest service. Our waitress was Pam and she gave outstanding service that made you feel right at home!! As a matter of fact... we went back two days later to eat there again...it was that good!! Well done, Granny Cantrells!!

  • *****

Excellent buffet. Well kept food bar. Servers are extremely efficient. Best salad dressing in Panama City. We are seniors and appreciate the discount that the owner (Doug) allows from 2:00 until 5:00 P M.
When you go there, say hello to Deb. You'll be glad you did.

  • *****

Southern home cooking at its finest. Granny is probably in the kitchen overseeing the operation. All you can eat favorites at a reasonable price. A bit high on the salt content, but you'd expect that from comfort food. Will definitely be back.

  • *****

So southern Y'all....if you want reasonable prices and Traditional Southern dishes...this is your place! They are not only all you can eat buffet, but also serve by the plate, off the buffet, if you cant eat so much! Their food is on Point and their Atmosphere is so fun with trains that circle on tracks overhead throughout the restaurant... Good Good Food!?

  • *****

I was referred by the desk clerk at my hotel to go to Granny Cantrell's because they have soul food. Turns out she was only partially right. They serve really good home cooking with a lot of soul. There are two choices for dinner, one trip to the buffet or all you can eat. I recommend all you can eat because you will want to try everything. Not only is everything homemade but it is from scratch. Be sure to leave room for desert even if you have to jump up and down to make a little extra space. This place is 5 Stars and 2 thumbs up!

  • *****

I don't know why this restaurant is listed as South American but it is DEFINITELY NOT. It is DEFINITELY SOUTHERN and it is definitely delicious. The service and staff are very courteous and a pleasure to talk to. If you're looking for good Southern cooking, this is the place.

  • *****

This place is awesome! First time in Panama City and we decided to try out this locally owned restaurant. The food was great. They have a nice selection of great homestyle country food. Autumn, our waitress, was awesome and made us feel like we were home back in Texas. Definitely a "must eat at" restaurant.

  • *****

This place offers a small buffet with a few choices, but the food tastes like a home cooked meal. They offer three choices of payment, by three different colors of the plate that you can choose from. I suggest you choose a white plate, which gives you the choice of all you can eat for under $11.00 a person. If you get a red, or blue plate, you can only go to the food bar once unless you pay for the second plate. Believe me, once you taste the food, if you didn't get the all you can eat plate (white plate), you will wish you had. Good food, good price, friendly employees equals one happy family!

  • *****

This place is definitely a hidden gem. It's definitely off the beaten path and could easily be missed. The selection isn't big but what they have they're doing right. The fish and chicken have well seasoned breading. My family said the baked beans, bread pudding and chicken dumplings were the best they've ever had. I really enjoyed the pecan pie and carrot cake. If we're back in town we'll definitely be back.

  • *****

Granny Cantrell's is one of my favorite places to eat. The fried chicken is the best, the macaroni and cheese is amazing as well as almost everything on the buffet. I take everyone here, who comes to visit me. Also the deserts are all homemade and delicious.

  • *****

Southern home cooking buffet. Food is good but not exceptional. Two things keep liking but not loving this place: 1. Their fryers leave the fried chicken and other meats tasting like the oil got just a little too hot. 2. Real southern style vegetables need lots of seasoning (i.e. butter, pepper, ham hocks, etc.) Their vegetables here are good quality but very plain. That said, the prices are quite reasonable and I occasionally just have to have my fill of fried chicken, livers, gizzards, and fish with veggies and homemade ground beef and vegetable soup...

  • *****

Honestly, I shouldn't be giving five stars because it was somewhat dirty but the food was so stinkin good! Everything was hot and semi fresh for a buffet. The service was on point and it's not super expensive.

If you are in town, you must try.

  • *****

That was some really good country style food the fried chicken was excellent collard greens were excellent hostess and waitress very good could not say enough The place was extremely clean and well taken care of I would return

  • *****

This restaurant is an absolute breath of fresh air. The food was fantastic and the service was also very very great. We will definitely be back.

  • *****

Im glad I decided to give them a try. It was excellent southern food for the right price. The fried chicken was spot on. Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were really good. Green beans was great and the corn and stuffing were good. At first I was on the impression they dones have enought food options at their buffet but trust theres plenty of comfort food. Wish I could have eat more but i had to throw the towel and get a sample of their cakes I had the chocolate, the blueberry and the carrot cake. And the carrot cake was delicioua the other were good but not as good as the carrot cake. Service was outstanding they make you feel right at home!

  • *****

If you love southern home cooking you have got to try this buffet! My husband and I eat here often. The service, like the food is absolutely wonderful!

  • *****

The southern cooking is excellent! Can't wait to see if there's ever any Apple Cobbler rather than the peach. Don't get me wrong. It's super good. Apple is just my favorite cobbler.

  • *****

Buffet is good. Lots to choose from. They make delicious desert's. We eat here often. They offer a senior discount from 2:00 till 5:00. Waitress's are always super friendly and never let you run out of tea!

  • *****

This place is absolutely incredible. It's a southern buffet with the best fried chicken in town. The price isn't bad at all and the environment is nice.

  • *****

Good home cooking. Lots of good vegetables well-seasoned. Best baked macaroni and cheese anywhere in town. They treat us older folks very well with a long seniors time. In the late afternoon from 2 to 5 with a special price. Servers are great very pretty girl young ladies always wanting to make things good.

  • *****

Maaaaaan, if you want home cooking without hours of cooking and cleaning, you better get down here! Very few places like this left.

  • *****

Great service and staff keeps me coming back. With buffet style back home dishes and the decor its at the top of my list every time I'm in the area.

  • *****

Took my mom for lunch and it was wonderful!! I love southern food and they had such a large selection. The food was cooked beautifully and the restaurant was spacious and great.

  • *****

I've heard about this place for a long time over the radio and been looking forward to go since. Food and service was great. They could mind the floors and windows better. I didn't need to use the toilet in the men's room thankfully, that sorry thing could be replaced.

  • *****

Good down home Southern cooking. The fried cornbread was a great compliment to the delicious collard greens. We will be returning!

  • *****

First time staying in Panama City Beach. Rode around for a few hours looking for somewhere to eat. Stopped at a Walgreens asked family coming out of Walgreens that told me about a few restaurants on 23rd Street they suggested Granny...glad they did. Staff was great especially Grace our waitress. Food hot and taste good. Leave room for dessert

  • *****

Granny's is spectacular! We went for the Senior Special and we weren't disappointed. All you can eat of the best fried chicken and Southern sides! We eat here a couple of times a month and are never unhappy. The carrot cake and pecan pie are better than Grandma's (shh, don't tell her!). Go hungry and leave extremely satisfied. Use restraint, if you can!

  • *****

Absolutely amazing home cooking! No better place for southern food! The perfect mix of hospitality and great food! Waitresses are very attentive and management really knows how a restaurant is supposed to be ran! No better run restaurant in Bay County! If in the Panama City check this place out!

  • *****

First visit to Granny's place. If you're looking for a nice buffet, here it is. Just waiting on the cornbread to come out.

Today I had the veggie plate which allowed me to choose five veggies from the hot bar. Plus bread and iced tea. All for $6.95. I can't buy it and cook it for that. Lots of seniors in today, so you know it must be good...and a good deal.

The wait staff was very attentive ensuring your satisfaction and keeping those drink glasses filled.

When in Panama City or the beach, ride over to 23rd and check this place out.

By the way, I didn't try any, but the cakes and other desserts look great. Tall three layer cakes...eying a coconut cake now just calling my name, but I'll resist today.

For that down home southern cooking, this is the place.

    I'll be back!!

    Enjoy!!

  • *****

Great place to eat..me and my daughter love to go here weekly.. my only complaint at all would be they charge full adult price for a 7 year old the last 2 times we've went..and they eat like 3 things for 12.00$ but highly recommend the place..

  • *****

Some probably would call themselves a regular if they visited as much as I have over the last 12 or 13 years. Being southern born the food fits well with my food as a child and it is pretty close to that ideal. I can usually find something that works for me most times I visit. There are few surprises except with their soups that are always very good and change often, much better than the other two places nearby so I was very comfortable being a customer.

Something if you are a senior is their special deals in the afternoons and everyday they are open so you should check them out, many have told me it allows a live alone senior or couple a chance at a good variety of food that may be less than you can prepare at home plus it isn't unusual to see customers and staff greet with a pat on the back or a hug so socialization for those that need it is often available something many value as much as the food and generally the staff is friendly and attentive.

For me, well I made a tragic mistake, strange as it may seem, I was seen as too nice and my kindness got me labeled as a bad person so as good as I always felt my visits were and the socialization being much better than some other places my visits will be much less often than in the past and very probably not any time soon. A word of caution be nice but not too kind because that kindness can be seen as bad to those that desire to see it that way.

  • *****

Hot fresh buffet that you can eat there or take out. Great waitresses. Fast service. Clean restaurant. Love the carrot cake. !!!

  • *****

Good food, friendly staff, great prices! Always enjoy our time here. Relaxed atmosphere.

  • *****

Always great food. Can be a little salty and greasy but that's what southern cooking is all about, I guess. I had breakfast this trip. Normally do lunch here. They cater, friendly staff, somewhat pricey. But definitely worth it though for a homemade like meal. Save room for a piece of cake. Mmmmm.

  • *****

Great southern cooking at a reasonable price.

  • *****

Amazing Thanksgiving buffet. Wonderful service. An instant favorite. Grandpa Rick even loved it.

  • *****

Great home cooking. They had cabbage and corn beef that was amazing. The smothered pock chops wasn't cooked completely and the peach cobbler was to soggy and mushy, but everything else was good. I would try again. I was hurt about the peach cobbler though.

  • *****

Granny Cantrell's is a Serve Yourself Buffet and the food is the very best that I have found that can compare too good Southern Home Cooking. The cakes and pies are all handmade and delicious. I highly recommend the pecan pie. We come to Panama City Beach at least once a year and Granny Cantrell's is one of our favorite places to eat. It is not a local tourist restaurant it is a local popular restaurant. I highly recommend it.

  • *****

One of our favorite lunch spots. Food is consistently good, fried chicken is BEST IN TOWN! !

  • *****

The best food in town. Real southern food that actually tastes the way it's suppose too! For the price you can't go any where else. Every single item on the buffet is delicious

  • *****

Best food in town. I thought with it being this cheap it wouldn't be good but it's literally moms cooking. The best buffet and restaurant in town.

  • *****

Such a pleasure having lunch here. Staff is wonderful and down home food is amazing. Make sure you try the pork chops.

  • *****

Love this place! Great food, friendly staff, and you can't go wrong with picking Granny's for any meal.

  • *****

Great food, servers and price. Great meeting place, cozy. You have 3 choices of food prices depending on how hungry you are.

  • *****

Delicious food! Lots of selection. Definitely southern cooking but with a gulf flair (fried clams, fish, deviled crab). Fried chicken and gumbo were favorites. The desert selection was fantastic, 3 kinds of cakes, cherry cheesecake, peach cobbler, banana pudding and more. All that, and the prices were reasonable... and our kids ate free. We will definitely Be back when we're in town

  • *****

Great family restaurant that features an outstanding breakfast menu. Large portion sizes and the pancakes are thick and large. Sign said they have a breakfast buffet on Saturday. Sufficient parking in front and reasonable pricing.

  • *****

Breakfast Buffet on Saturday , it's become our family tradition. Everything you can imagine as well as menu items. Quick friendly service. Tables and booths, children are welcome there is a train that runs overhear and most folks enjoy watching as it goes from station to station, as they relax and enjoy their breakfast.
Open for lunch and dinner , come on in rain or shine you can always dine.

  • *****

Delicious food & very friendly staff! Best southern fried chicken!!!! Plus, reasonable prices.

  • *****

Ate here on the way out of the beach, so so good. Make a stop on the way home! You won't regret it!

  • *****

Liked how they have a different selection of buffet prices. They have single serving price and multiple serving price. Both prices were super economical!!

  • *****

I have eaten here plenty of times. The service is quick and friendly. Food selection is delicious and fresh! Will be back again, owners are great people and really appreciate each and every customer. Thank you!

  • *****

Freshest buffet I've been to in a long time. They have a tier system for how you pay, so if you're thinking, a buffet isn't worth it, they have different option. Small place, well worth a first visit.

  • *****

When we walked in and up to the buffet to look at what there was to eat I was at first thinking I wouldn't like any of the food. It was actually really good! It is definitely not super healthy, but if you're looking for a good cheat meal or some southern comfort food, I recommend it. Collard greens, fried chicken, fried steak, gumbo, beans, meatloaf, a small salad bar, etc. It tasted way better than it looked. The dessert selection was very good as well. Bread pudding, brownies, awesome homemade cookies, soft serve ice cream, cheese cake. This is somewhere to take the kids where everyone cab find something they like and be happy. The servers were very attentive and quick with our drink orders and bill when we asked. It is nothing fancy at all but we will be back with the kids for sure. $4.25 for kids 10 and under and $10 per adult, all you can eat. Family of four can leave stuffed and without dishes to wash for about $30.

  • *****

Great food and great atmosphere. Every time I visit Panama City I make sure to stop here. Love it!

  • *****

Good country home cooking!! Always has good choices on the buffet..the best fried chicken in town..my family loves coming here

  • *****

The food is reasonably priced and there are plate specials for the buffet. I've come to this location twice. It's decent down home cooking.... but it's not true southern cooking if you catch my drift.

The fried chicken & fried fish hit the spot. The chicken & dumpling when eaten with the bread... is it potato bread? My goodness. Aside from the roasted potatoes, everything else tastes canned which is unfortunate. I didn't go near the greens as they aren't what I'm used to.

The banana pudding is homemade (with homemade custard... just like God intended) however, it's not constructed while hot or baked so, it's decent but it's not what I'm used to.

If you are in the area with a need for down home cooking come here.

  • *****

    Definitely all southern!
Food is OK for the price, service is usually good but they should have at least one low fat/non fried meat and a couple of sides for those who are dieting or just can't tolerate fat. The salad bar is good but no low fat dressing. They DO have a soup and salad for lower price than the buffet. I bring my own dressing. It was well priced but now it's a little pricey for lunch at around $11 with drink.

  • *****

Granny Cantrell's is GREAT SOUTHERN FOOD!!!!!
I wish my Grandmother could cook fried chicken this good. This is the first place I eat when I come to P.C..Wish we had one in Atlanta.GREAT FOOD,GREAT PRICE!!!!!!

  • *****

    enjoyed
Had lunch with a couple of friends-- veggies were great!!! I am dieting therefore no fried chicken, however the baked chicken was good. Looking forward to more of the vegetables, they were awesome...Loved the turnips:) I am glad I met up with friends their and look forward to a return dine.

  • *****

The best southern buffet in Bay County. Hands down.

  • *****

First time here and the staff is very friendly. The food is homestyle southern cooking and its done right

  • *****

I have eaten Granny Cantrell's on several occasions. I don't live in Panama City anymore but was there over the holidays and thought I would give them a review.

They have great fried chicken and country fried steak. They also have some awesome fried corn bread thing. Lots of vegetables to choose from, mainly beans, but they all taste great. There is a small salad bar that is okay, not the best, but okay. The staff has always been good to me, no problems there. Locally owned and I prefer to eat at restaurants that are...I have met the owner on several occasions when in there and he has always been really friendly.

I highly recommend Granny's when you are wanting some Paula Dean style cooking. Very tasty food that you can tell was cooked in house and not just warmed up after being trucked in frozen.

  • *****

Awesome food and an "old school country" feel. Strongly recommend.

  • *****

Best buffet in Bay County. While the choices are small, they actually cook the food from scratch. I'll take fresh food and less choices any day. The Mac and Cheese is like the kind my mom used to make for our family.

  • *****

The buffet is great. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. Not overloaded by fried foods. Lots of great sides. Nice staff. Apparently Rick Scott ate there once, there's a signed picture of him on the wall.

  • *****

Wow what a lunch seafood buffet today excellent fish shrimp & stuffed crab and probably some of the best fried chicken around.

  • *****

Bring on the southern, heart stopping food... And plenty of it! Yes, that is a compliment. This isn't fine dining, so do not come here if you are looking for such a thing. If you want some comfort food, this is your place.

  • *****

Decently priced buffet with good ol' country cooking. Homemade chicken noodle soup with huge chunks of real chicken, banana pudding like grandma use to make, and all the other country type foods you'd expect; greens, beans, fresh and not frozen meats, and homemade biscuits. Absolutely delicious, homemade, comfort food. Definitely better than the average home style buffet.

  • *****

This definitely was a great find!! Thanks yelp reviewers!! Buffet style @ $10.75 per person worth ever penny of it! All their food is homemade - even the desserts. Best pecan pie EVER!!! do you hear me... BEST PECAN PIE EVER!!! It's a strip mall gem. They also sell their desserts by the pound- holy cow.... Comment from one of the gray hairs (67+ relatives)- " I think they put some sleeping pills in that food; I need a nap". That's a compliment of the best kind.. We will definitely be looking that place up again.

Love this Southern buffet. Everything is delicious and fresh. Pork chops, more southern veggies than I have heard of. Pass up Golden Corral when this place is near.

What a neat place! Full of rich local history. You can really learn a lot about the town just by gazing upon the walls.

The food here is very good. I am not disappointed in any way. Good southern cooking and decent desserts. They have very friendly service and my glass was never empty. The train tracking around the entire restaurant is a very nice touch.

Be sure you ask about the plate system if you have never been here before. Plate system you say? Yes. Plate system. You see there are 3 colors (red, white and blue) and each one signifies different entitlement to what you eat and pay.

This is one of the best buffets that I have ever eaten at!!! We were told about this treasure from a RV park we were staying at. It is a little off the beach area, about a 15 minute drive but well worth it. The food is hot and taste wonderful. Everything I have tried, I have liked. The country cooking is reminiscent of my granny's cooking. You will love this Very family friendly. Tons of options to choose from. If you leave here hungry then something is terribly wrong. Even the deserts are homemade. Just yummy!!! One of ur favorite food options to eat out!

I love this place! The food is always fresh and tasty. If you like southern style, home cooking this is the place to check out! Every Friday you can get fish, popcorn shrimp, crab cakes and cheese grits. The bread pudding is awesome as well. Making my mouth water just thinking about it!

With me you either get 5 star or 1 star the food is either good or it isn't. The biscuits and gravy were really good probably the best I've had in a long time. The waitress was really polite and did a very good job. I ordered the steak and eggs and everything was very delicious. My girlfriend tried ordering something they ran out of and since they couldn't provide it they gave her meal free. I heard about granny Cantrell on 101.1 radio station and always wanted to try it and I'm glad I did.

Great southern food, especially if you have had your fill of fish and shrimp. This is the best fried chicken in Panama City. The country style veggies are cooked with that southern mama's love. The locals make this place a little special too. It's not full of vacation renters fighting for every piece of food. Try the banana pudding!

The waitress was fantastic, but the food took FOREVER to come out. The food is definitely "southern" and not very many healthy choices.

Good Food, reasonable prices. My wife and I both had the Spanish omelette. The sauce was quite good. The portions were more than adequate. Neither one of us was able to finish everything. I would definitely go back for breakfast.

The food here is delicious! The fried chicken was to die for, and the pulled pork and bbq sauce was amazing! I could put that bbq sauce on everything!!! YUM YUM YUM!!!

This place is definitely small-town feeling. Expect coffee from old mugs, small groupings of veterans chit chatting about life, and amazing food.

The walls were filled with veteran nostalgia pieces and smelled of fresh waffles when walking in the door. You could even see a small train track running along the top of the main area with a train going.

The 4 of us ordered eggs, hasbrowns, toast, and blueberry pancakes. It was all tasty and very filling. I highly recommend this breakfast place.
